About Us

Welcome to our website, and thank you for visiting.

We are Dennis (Denny) and Rene Cook, owners and operators of Denny’s Guide Service & Bed and Breakfast in scenic Sitka, Alaska.

Here is a little about us:

Denny resided in Washington State for the majority of his life. His favorite thing is being on the water. He began his career in Westport, Washington, as a deckhand. After receiving his guide license he guided the Peninsula Rivers, Cowlitz, Snake, Columbia River and others for over thirty years. Denny received his Captain’s license in 1992. He has worked on tugs in Puget Sound and did sport fishing charters in the Puget Sound, located in Washington State and Prince of Wales, located in Alaska. He currently owns his business on Baranof Island, in the City and Borough of Sitka.

Rene lived most of her life in California before moving to Washington and then to Alaska. She worked in the medical and dental field for more than thirty years as a business manager and executive director. She does not love the water as much as Denny. She is more into socializing, She and Denny both enjoy sharing their enthusiasm for the beautiful pristine waters of Alaska.

Denny's Guide Service, in Alaska, was established in 1996. They operate a small B&B to comfortably accommodate their guests along with diving and fishing adventures. As a small business, they can provide personalized service and provide a totally exclusive experience for you, your family and friends.
